U.S. Congressional Candidate Arthur Rich Joins Walk to DC to Save Belhaven Hospital

For Immediate Release:

North Carolina First District GOP Congressional candidate Arthur Rich joined with Belhaven, NC Mayor Adam O‘Neal and fellow supporters Wednesday in the historic march to Washington DC to save the town’s hospital that recently closed. Rich reached Bowling Green, Virginia and will continue with the March until the pair’s arrival in Washington, DC Monday.

“It’s an honor to walk with Mayor O‘Neal and support his efforts in saving the Belhaven Hospital.  The folks in Eastern NC, especially in rural outlying areas such as Belhaven, need every resource available to them to accommodate immediate health care needs during times of emergency,”  Rich said from Highway 301 in Virginia Wednesday.

“I plan to walk with Mayor O‘Neal until he reaches his destination in Washington DC and meets the President of the United States.  This walk is not for a political party, it’s for the people in Eastern NC and the Belhavencommunity.   I hope that once I’m elected I can work hard to prevent this from happening to any small town anywhere in NC or the nation,” Rich concluded.
